Did Someone Call The Police???

Did someone call the Police???
No, it's just Joshua and Kara. They made policeman hats at Grandma Locker's house today and had a lot of fun pretending to be the police!

A Visit With Grandma-ma

We went to visit Grandma-ma at Country Meadows. She was very excited to see the kids. She kept asking where Kara got her blond hair and blue eyes from...what can I say, she is all Locker. She just loved Joshy. She thought he was so cute. The kids thought her red cast was pretty cool. We also went with Grandma-ma to play BINGO. She did very well and won a game. She was very kind and shared her chocolate prize treat with the kids. When it was time to go the kids didn't want to leave. I'm so thankful they love their Grandma-ma as much as I do.

The kids were so excited to Trick or Treat this year. Kara went as a bride and Joshua as a pumpkin. Kara was so excited, she wore her veil all day long...LOL! Joshua went up to one door and said "Peak-a-boo"...I think he meant to say boo...LOL! It was a great night and the kids had lots of fun!

Pumpkin Carving

We decided it was time to carve our pumpkin. Kara really enjoyed helping Daddy. Poor Joshy was sick with a fever and was too tired to help. Kara's favorite part was pulling out the "pumpkin poop" as she called it...lol!

Fall Arts N Crafts Project

We have been enjoying watching the leaves on the trees turn to fall colors. We decided yesterday to go on a walk and look at all the pretty trees and collect leaves as we went. I gave each of the kids a baggie to fill with fall leaves. We took them home and did a fall craft project. The kids loved it!
Kara absolutely loved this project. She decided to make a tree with her leaves. She made this fall tree for her Kindergarten teacher, Mrs. Sherrick.

Joshua had a lot of fun too. He loves any projects that have to do with GLUE...LOL! He was funny because he kept gluing his leaves the the paper the ugly side of the the leaf up...LOL!

Kara's First Field Trip: Cherry Hill Orchards

Kara went on her very first school field trip. Her Kindergarten class went to Cherry Hill Orchards. The kids had a great time. We all went on a hay ride, we got to pick and learn about apples, pick our very own pumpkins off the vine, watched a video on Johnny Appleseed, play in a hay maze and of course enjoy some apple cider.

Here is Kara twisting her apple off the branch. We needed to twist the apples off so not to damage the branches of the apple trees. Kara's friend Ashlyn, Mrs. Sherrick and Kara show off their apples.

We got back on the hay wagon and enjoyed eating our apples.

One of the ladies from the orchard shared with us how apples are picked and the apple basket they use to put the apples in as they are picking them. Then we went inside to see the machine that shines the apples up.

Here is a picture of Kara standing in the large refrigerator where the apples are stored. It was so cold in there...Brrr
Next, we were off to the pumpkin patch to pick our very own pumpkins. This was a lot of fun. We had to be very careful when picking our pumpkins up because they had very prickly stems. The Hay Maze

This is a pic of the shed where the kids got to sit on apple boxes and watch a movie about Johnny Appleseed. http://www.applejuice.org/johnnyappleseed.html
After we left the orchard we drove to a park for a picnic lunch. The kids enjoyed the bus ride to and from the orchard. One of Kara's little friends actually fell asleep on the way home...Too cute!
