Over The TeaCup

Tea Time
My mom planned a really fun morning out for the ladies. She made reservations for us to have tea at Over The Teacup. Mom, Brittany, Jen, Katelyn, my mother-in-law, Kara and I all attended Tea Time. We had a great time and can't wait to do it again. Thanks Mom!

VBS Fun

Grandma Locker invited Kara to go to Vacation Bible School at her church. Grandma picked Kara up on Monday night and Kara stayed with her all week! Grandma took good care of Kara! Kara wanted to throw a party for her cousin Cassidy so, Grandma let Kara help her bake a cake, blow up balloons, make decorations. They even made crowns for Kara and Cassidy. I asked Kara if she wanted to live with Grandma and she said "YEEESSSSS"
Emily and Kara
Neither Emily or Kara knew each other would be at VBS. The girls were so excited to see each other! Both Kara's grandparents and Emily's grandparents go to the same church! Kara has know Emily since they were very little. We all used to go to the same church together. Then Dave and Megan moved to York and Dan and I moved to Middletown. It was nice to be reunited!

The Kovlak Nurses

As many of you know, I am a nurse. Most of you probably don't know that my Grandma, Hilma Kovlak was also a nurse. My youngest sister Kelly, is starting her second year at Liberty University studying to be a nurse. Kelly and I thought it would be really neat to get some pics of the Three Kovlak Nurses together. We went to Country Meadows, a retirement community where my Gram lives and also where I am a nurse. What a privilege it is to be able to take care of my own Grandmother! This pic of my grandma was taken in 1948 when she graduated from nursing school

What is really neat is that I was named after my grandma...Karen Hilma
Here is a pic of the future nurse...Kelly Kovlak, RN
We had a lot of fun dressing Gram up. We found scrubs and a stethoscope for her to wear. She really enjoyed posing for pictures with us.

Kara & Katelyn also had fun dressing up as nurses. Who knows maybe we will have two more future Kovlak Nurses!
