While we were in the OBX we celebrated Danielle's 30TH birthday. I made one of her favorite meals, chicken fettuccine Alfredo. We had ice cream cake and watched DD open her birthday presents. We were so happy to be able to celebrate this special day with DD!

Zoo America

We took a trip to Zoo America with Jessica, Cole & Mason. The kids had fun together looking at all the different animals. When we went through the reptile section Joshua was either excitedly laughing or saying "Eww" He was lots of fun to take to the Zoo!

Learning How To Ride A Bike

Check out Joshua's new bike. Well, it's not exactly new. I was driving around my neighborhood and someone had this bike in the trash. I thought, that would be the perfect size bike for Joshua. So, I picked it up. I washed it down and we had to get a new tube for one of the tires and also put training wheels on it. Now it is as good as new! It took Joshua a while to figure out how to pedal the bike. He kept putting his feet back and putting on the brakes. Now with much practice Joshua is finally able to pedal the bike all by himself!

Potty Training

Joshua is finally potty training!!! I didn't know if he'd ever get potty trained. Kara started potty training at 17 months and picked it right up. Joshua is 28 months. I've been putting him in Elmo undies and he has been staying dry. When he has to go to the potty he says "Mommy, put diaper on" So, instead of putting on his diaper I put him on the potty. The first time he went on the potty Kara and I cheered, yelled and clapped. We chanted, Joshy is a big boy...Joshy is a big boy. Now, after Joshua goes potty he runs around yelling...Joshy is a big boy! Joshy also gets very excited because I give him a marshmallow as a reward for going on the potty. I'm so proud of my big boy!!! (click on pics to see them larger)
