Forgiven

We had a very exciting day today! Kara has asked Jesus into her heart! Here is how it happened. Dan and Kara were watching a show about truckers in Alaska, who have to drive very heavy loads over large sheets of ice with water underneath. There is a chance that the ice could crack and the trucks could plunge into the water. I was sitting on the floor cutting coupons and here is the conversation I heard going on. Kara said to Dan, " I don't want them to fall in because they won't go to heaven." Dan replied back by saying "Not necessarily, It depends on if they have Jesus in their heart whether they will go to heaven or hell." Kara said "I've never asked Jesus into my heart. Tell me how to ask Jesus into my heart." (Up until this point when we would pray at night I would pray that Kara would have Jesus in her heart and she would say, "Mommy I do have Jesus in my heart") Dan talked to her about being a sinner and asking God to forgive her of her sins. He also talked about why Jesus died on the cross, the Holy Spirit and the Fruits of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22-23). Then Dan prayed with her and she asked Jesus to come into her heart. Dan and I were so happy for Kara and will continue to pray for God's will for her. (Don't forget to click on the pics to see them big)

Kara's First Day of School

Kara had a great first day of school! We got up very early...6:20am and got her dressed, had breakfast, took pics and headed out the door to get the bus. She got right on the bus with no problems. To answer EVERY ONE'S question....NO, I did not cry. I did get a little bit chocked up when I called Dan to tell him she did a great job getting on the school bus. I then drove over to the school to get pics of her getting off her bus and pics of her with her friends and teacher. The reason I didn't drive her to school was because I wanted her to get used to taking the bus. I didn't want to drive her and then have her expect me to drive her everyday. Joshua missed Kara. He kept asking where she was and telling me he wanted to ride on the school bus. When Kara got home from school she told me she had a great day. She also keeps telling me she wants to go to school 5 days a week instead of 3! I am so happy she likes school!

It is that time of year again for the E-Town Fair. We had a great time at the fair. We went with our neighbors Mark, Keri, Trey & Brynlee. I'm sad to say I don't have any pics of the kiddos together. We also spent a lot of time at the fair with the Yeagly family

My mom planned a really fun morning out for the ladies. She made reservations for us to have tea at Over The Teacup. Mom, Brittany, Jen, Katelyn, my mother-in-law, Kara and I all attended Tea Time. We had a great time and can't wait to do it again. Thanks Mom!
