The Airport Cafe

While in Maryland visiting Granny and Pops we had lunch at one of the kids favorite places, The Airport Cafe. It is part of the Montgomery County Airpark Airport, which is right down the street from Granny and Pop's house. We were excited b/c we got to see a helicopter that said United States of America on it. We also got to see some kind of camouflage fighter jet. It was a beautiful day and we saw many planes take off and land. Thanks Granny and Pops for a fun afternoon at the airport!

Larriland Farm

We went to Maryland to visit Kelly while she was home from collage. Granny took us to Larriland Farm. The kids had a great time picking pumpkins and apples. Kara and Joshua really enjoyed the Hay Ride and the Haunted House.

Surgery Day!

Joshua had surgery to remove
his tonsils and adenoids. He also
had what is called a Granuloma removed
from his left ear. We had to be at the
surgery center at 6:30am. He was prepped
and taken to surgery at 7:30. By 8am Dr.
Won came out to let me and Granny know
that the surgery went well!
Joshy had his vitals taken. Then he
put on his cute, little hospital gown.
Check out his designer
"Pillow Case"

He was in good spirits!
Of course, Eddie came too!
After surgery we went to the recovery room
to see Joshy. He was a bit agitated from the
anesthesia. As the the anesthesia wore off he
was excited to see us.We noticed blood
coming out of his nose, ears and mouth. The
anesthesiologist told us he bled a lot
during surgery and swallowed a lot of
blood. He told us to expect vomiting to
occur before the night was over..... ugh!

While Joshy was recovering Granny ran
down to the pharmacy to fill his
prescriptions. By the time she got back,
Joshy was perked up and ready to go!
Just as the doctor told us, Joshy
vomited a huge amount of blood!
That was a turning point for him
and he began to feel a lot better!
I'm so thankful my Mom was here
to help clean up the mess!
We're minus 1 hand towel,
1 blankie and Daddy's Pillow!
Granny always comes prepared with
gifts. Meet Joshy new lovie,

The First Day of First Grade

Today was Kara's First Day of First Grade. She was excited to get back to school and see all her friends. Kara is excited about her new teacher Mrs. Ruoss. We went to visit her classroom last night and were excited to see it decorated with tons of bears and mini trees with lights! How fun it will be for Kara to be in such a cool classroom! We are thankful to be able to send Kara to Mount Calvary Christian School again this year!
